We built a platform to help restaurants through lockdowns

The hit on hospitality through COVID

As restrictions hit in the start of 2020, a lot of businesses had to close their doors and accept that they would have no other choice but to start selling online. While this was no issue for a number of different sectors, hospitality took a huge hit as it relied heavily on people visiting to make income. Many restaurants, cafes and takeaways had no platform or website to sell online through, forcing them to join platforms that took a massive cut out of all their sales.

Profit over users

With the entire process of ordering food being only avalable online through lockdowns, we saw big tech companies unwilling to sacrifice profit over their users and struggling restaurants to provide support for the sector. Companies were charging up to 44% commissions plus delivery fees on top making it expensive for customers to order and impossible for restaurants to make a profit.
